“…The experience was possibly life altering…They actually asked some of the most profound questions during the post-show discussion…I was so impressed with the gift we were able to facilitate for this group of students…”

- Betse Grasbe, Strings Music Festival

Literature to Life Signature Performances are professionally staged adaptations of award-winning literary works performed by a single actor. (Click here to view our Active Titles). Each performance is accompanied by pre- and post-show discussion that encourages audiences of all ages to engage in self-reflection and discovery. Discussions are facilitated by LTL Teaching Artists who are experts in the literature and at applying dynamic theatre techniques that activate students’ engagement with the story. Content is tailored around the literary themes that most resonates with each classroom or community audience.

Presentation Format:

5-to-10-minute Pre-show Discussion
60-minute Performance
20-to-25-minute Post-Show Discussion

Titles available for remote presentation are reformatted with shorter performance segments, screen breaks, and more facilitated student engagement.

All of our active presentation titles have an accompanying Teacher Resource Guide that can be used in tandem with a Signature Performance to prepare students, or after for further study.
